In Memory of Little Man Rue

On June 15, 2012 Little Man Rue left the planet. He was one of the most charming creatures I have ever met. He was also one of the most photogenic. I am sure that he is in every camera phone in Portland. He was funny, stubborn, confident and sure of his place in the world. He had more likes than dislikes and while he suffered many indignities from a serious bout of vestibular syndrome to losing the ability to use his back legs nothing stopped him. He was a great ambassador for dogs on wheels and in the end a great canine ambassador. In the last two years of his life he was less able to be in the world like a dog and was given great comfort by his frenchie adopted sister, Sweet Pea. She was his pillow, his friend, his source of dog. She helped him all the way until the end. He was loved all the way around and I was loved by this dog with a determination and fierceness I don't know that I will experience again. He belonged to me and i to him. He is missed by all who knew
him and most especially me.

Little Man wherever you are and whatever you are doing I hope it is with all four legs and a lap to sleep on. Until we meet again.
