"Simon is just so sweet and lovable. He still chews and plays like a teething puppy and has lots of energy, but when he sleeps, he is out, and will hog your bed.
He thinks he is a tough guard dog. He will bark at people coming in the door and then run up and jump to greet. Sometimes he seems to bark at something only he can see or hear, maybe just to feel tough. He is also not the most graceful. He slips and falls off couches and chairs, mostly because he is playing and is a little butterball."

Simon says, "adopt me!"

At just a year old, this handsome young man has found himself in need of a new family because his former owners felt that he was too exuberant around the young children in the household. You see, there is not a mean bone in Simon's body, but he sometimes has trouble containing his enthusiasm. This is hardly surprising when one considers that he is basically just a pup. He has oodles of energy, and he needs to be taught proper etiquette.

One important area of Simon's education should be how to behave when people are leaving. Right now, he tends to crowd the doorway because, hey, why would anyone want to go anywhere without him? He also needs to work on not jumping up, and it would be best if children in the home were sturdy enough to avoid being bowled over by a blond ball of boisterousness. Simon is housebroken, but he may have an accident if he is not let out when nature calls. The change in location from foster to forever home may result in some loss of housebreaking--be honest with yourself about whether you will be able to deal with inside accidents while he grows accustomed to his new home.

Simon's home should have a securely fenced yard so that he has an appropriate area to expend his puppy-like energy. Boy, can this little guy run! This is not to say that Simon is all go, all the time -- he is also a snugglebug. When he is not wrestling with his Frenchie foster sister, exploring the yard or chewing bones, he often can be found lying companionably at Foster Mom's feet while she taps away at her computer, and he is respectful of his ten-year-old, blind and deaf Boston Terrier foster brother.

Foster Mom says, "Simon is just so sweet and lovable.

If you need this sunny little California boy in your life, fill out an application and start planning a road trip to the Golden State. You will need to invest in a travel crate or other way to secure him, because if given the choice, he will sit with you in the driver's seat all the way home. We have said it before and we will say it again… Frenchies should not be allowed to drive. They can't reach the brakes, and they never use their turn signals.

Please note that FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.
