"I hope she finds a family who sets boundaries for her but also lets her have adventures and explore the world. She is such a sweet, soft heart and will keep you on your toes. With other dogs she will need some extra guidance but she will love to play, play, play."

Hang onto your hats, a black masked fawn puppy is in the house. Jobea was surrendered to FBRN when she would not stop harassing her previous owner's cat. This girl is 8 months old and cute as all get out.

The good news is that Jobea is in good health. According to the vet, she will likely require cherry eye surgery sometime in the future. This is currently her only health concern. Since Jobea is still a puppy, her potty training is a work in progress--we would love it if she completed her training by her adoption, but French bulldogs frequently disappoint our expectations in this regard, so please keep in mind that she is not yet housebroken and think about whether that's a deal breaker for your family. Moreover, many dogs backslide when they move to a new home, so adopters may have to start fresh. She is not on a special diet and has no other special needs.

Jobea does great with the child in her foster home. Other than needing a reminder on not nipping, a typical puppy behavior, she adores children. In her foster home she has fun playing with the other older dog. They play together frequently, and Jobea is getting ready to try a puppy play group. She is confident in herself and will need slow introductions. Jobea likes to chase cats, but has never seemed to want to harm them. However, for the safety of any felines, she will go to a home without cats.

Jobea is reported to be quite the hilarious puppy, but she knows what she wants out of life and is persistent. She loves to play, play, and play more. This is in addition to giving a ton of kisses. In true puppy fashion, she loves to chew on things. Jobea needs daily walks or a romp around, as if she doesn't get enough of her energy out she can be destructive out of boredom. She also happens to loves rides in the car and going on new adventures. She has never met a stranger and is quick to love on everyone she meets, so that she can get all the attention back. Her favorite toys are antlers and toys that have a crunchy noise that come from them.

Jobea is crate trained. She is still a work in progress when it comes to potty training. She will need to be with an active family with dog-savvy parents, so that she can be reminded of manners with younger kids. Any type of home is fine for Jobea. It should be noted that if she has a backyard to explore in, it would need to be on extreme lock-down, (and our home visitor will be looking for ways kids and lawn-care workers or meter-readers can leave gates open or areas she might dig out) as she is trying to master her escape performance skills. She has gone with her foster mom to the office and has loved the experience. She would make a great office dog. Jobea would prefer someone that can come home at mid day since she is not completely potty trained.

Jobea's foster mom had this to say about her:"I hope she finds a family who sets boundaries for her but also lets her have adventures and explore the world. She is such a sweet, soft heart and will keep you on your toes. With other dogs she will need some extra guidance but she will love to play, play, play." If you have experience introducing a puppy into an established dog household, let us know in your application.

If you feel that you have the perfect home for Jobea and can set boundaries, while exploring the world together with a new addition; then consider applying for Jobea. All you need to do is fill out an application and be ready to pick her up if you are selected.

FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, so adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people's private homes. For the foster families' safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don't set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

Jobea is an active puppy and potty training is a work in progress. Applicants who require a housebroken dog should keep watching for one to come up on the site.

She has a high prey drive and must never be around cats, birds, hamsters, or other small animals. A fence is required to try to ensure the safety of neighborhood wildlife, but it must be secure, because Jobea is a blossoming escape artist.

Jobea has occasional cherry eye that has been successfully treated with medication in the past but may require surgery in the future. You may want to ask your vet about the ballpark cost of surgery before you apply.
